Now that you've read the "story" of our first date, allow me to make a few edits and tell you what really happened. Of course, all the upfront parts are true about me being witty and funny; however, I would like to add that I WAS going to ask her on a date. She just so happened to beat me to it. Honestly, that kind of threw me off a little bit, but the boldness set her apart. Her independence and drive will always be a Sellers feature that I love.

I showed up to Paramount on time and proceeded to stand outside and look like an idiot waiting on her (I'm sure you boys can relate). When she drove by, I will also admit, yes, I was nervous; more like stunned by her blinding beauty. If you were a young single male like me, you'd be nervous too if a model doctor lady actually showed up to go on a date with you. Thankfully, I knew the perfect solution for these ailments: tequila shots. It kind of worked, but honestly, we could've used a second round.

It's true that we started with basketball in which she "beat" me. She also "beat" me in Pacman, but I'll give her that one. She was pretty good. But in reality, I was just playing the long game, and I had her right where I wanted her.

After a "closer" match in skiball, I decided that she was primed and ready to take my bait. I bet that whoever won the next game would have to cook dinner on the next date (a win for me either way even if I lost, but hey, that wasn't going to happen). The real Kelly showed up and humbled her just a bit with a nice spanking in skiball which locked in our second date. Hook, line, and sinker....

Ironically, somehow she hooked me too and it gets deeper and deeper with each passing day. Her unmatched kindness and generosity pushes me to present the best part of myself even in difficult circumstances. The confidence she's given me through her trustworthiness and loyalty relieves me of the stress that comes with fragile or weak relationships. Her drive and work ethic foster healthy competition to contribute and match her levels of productivity. With a solid relationship with the Lord imbedded in her, we continue the spiritual growth that's necessary to maintain a healthy marriage. She's my closest confidant and my best friend, and I couldn't have ever dreamed to one day be married to a woman of her caliber.
